It is always a highlight for the club when we take exams. But this is also a regular step forward for the examinees, marking the gradual progress in training like a milestone. Especially the 1st Kyu - the highest student level - is an important step. Here the footsteps of the masters are getting closer and closer and this is also reflected in the hard work that is required to prepare for the exam. Sabrina, together with Jan and Jens, prepared intensively for this moment for months. She trained countless techniques and successfully led her first training session herself, because that is exactly what is so essential for clubs - the young talent also in training management. Sabrina demonstrated more than 100 techniques from Dju Su and other styles for about an hour and proved herself in free fighting. Various self-defense techniques were demonstrated, including punch and kick defense, grips, transport techniques, punching techniques, kicking techniques and more. Their ukes, especially Jens, had to endure a lot, but in the end everyone left the mat uninjured. Sabrina was awarded the brown belt as a sign of her success. And yet its purpose is, as our grandmaster Dr. Peter Jonscher often said that it was just to keep the jacket from unraveling, but it is also an award that Sabrina will now wear proudly; until she too will rise to the ranks of the masters. Congratulations on passing your exam!
